“Reading Sander Pleij I do feel two old admiration feelings tied in my memory with two old Dutch sports champions: the one in front of the powerful traction on the language, which reminds to me Jan Janssen climbing the Alpe d’Huez, and the one in front of its elasticity in torsions and accelerations, which was the wonder brought into football (and into my life too) by Johann Cruijff.”– Sandro Veronesi
“Sander Pleij’s book EXPLICADOR talks about A. I. but it is all about humor, yearning , fears as well as the other faults and virtues that makes us painfully and irreplaceably human.”– Etgar Keret
